I am officially done my 23 things! (didn't dance but secretly really wanted to do the Carlton dance lol). Did things 21, 22 and 23. I was able to download Overdrive (after a few attempts) , dowloaded a book it succesfully. I even had a few laughs at some pages I saw on StumbleUpon. During the course of the weeks, I realized that I maybe not the most technology savy person there is but I have to give myself some credit... I am able to learn and able to stay open minded. I went out of my comfort zone with Twitter and Blogger since I am not one who usually documents or shares on social media (aside from the Llibrary Facebook pages) I really enjoyed creating my Pinterest account. Love Pinterest even more and will definetly personalize it more in the future!!! I also realized that I really need to take more advantage of my Vision account, eŝpecially with making lists of books I've read or want to read. I am proud of myself for completing 23 Things:)

Ah... memories of my childhood lol!
Podcasts...
I listened to the podcast about the debate on the New York Public Library. I liked the opinion shared that expanding the social spaces does not diminish the relevance of the library but instead makes it less intimidating, more welcoming and more modern.

I had completely forgot to blog about last week's Twitter experience so I will do so this week... Another first for me since I didn't have a personnal Twitter account. It is a fast direct way to get messages, comments , observation, etc., accross.
As for my vision account, I did have one but I had never followed anybody or created any lists. I even took the time this week to put a few books on shelf for later. I always have books I intend to read and I forget about it... I often suggest to patrons to make lists for themselves to keep track of their reading so I i guess I should start practicing what I preach!Lol
I also found someone to follow who seems to have similar reading taste as I do (I'm not the only one who enjoys paranormal ghost type books. Yay!!!).

First time blogger
Hello my name is Sylvie,
I am now composing my first blog!!! I have to say I 'm new to this form of communication. I do have a personal Facebook account but I close to never post anything on my wall. I do however use our library Facebook page quite frequently in order to give information about what's going on here at the library (activities, changes, closures etc.) This would also be a different tool to use to keep present users or potential users of the library up to speed with the different programs, services and events happening in libraries:)
